Fair enough, but I think the “popular writers” would all agree that there are times we do tend to be snarky when we all start talking to each other. But, of course, that’s not always, and I know of a few fan fiction writers whose first language is not English that, although they do make mistakes, write just fine. I also know of some who don’t write well and take any and all helpful suggestions as trolling.

Very touchy… very, very touchy…

I know of one writer who actually griped out their beta (whom they had specifically asked to beta their work) because the beta made suggestions for what amounted to grade school grammar corrections.  So I think its a ‘your mileage may vary’ thing, where some people are overly touchy and others are not and do have valid issues. If that makes sense?
