As you may have heard, we’ve decided to have a fan meetup next year. Everyone missed everyone so much that it just seemed right to get the Family back together for a Family Weekend.
With that in mind, we’re changing a few things. All of our social media will be updated to reflect the new name and the new stuff for next year. As of right now, we are changing our tumblr name to RizzlesFamilyWeekend.tumblr.com
It’s still us!
Please keep your eyes open for new things as we’re going to want lots of input from everyone. This is a gathering for you to get together with the rest of the fans and have a good time. Help us spread the word, and we hope to see you next year!

I talk a lot. I help with the social media aspect (mostly), and, at the events, I talk a lot. I help coordinate some of the volunteers, and I help come up with the activities, but Joy is the heart.
I feel it is paramount that everyone know and I understand that not only do I not want it but I do not deserve a large chunk of credit for these events. Joy, however, does, and it irritates the shit out of me when people say that I’m taking “all the credit” for these, so I’m stating here for anyone who cares to read it that Joy deserves the credit, not me.
I cannot emphasize enough the fact that this year’s convention and next year’s fan gathering is Joy Thomas’s baby, and I’m just lucky enough to go along for the ride. She’s a truly amazing and talented woman, and, without her, none of this would be happening.
Remember what I always say; Joy is the brains and heart behind all of this. I’m just a “pretty face”. (Pretty being questionable at that.)
So, do me a favor, if you don’t mind. If you ever see anyone saying that any of these gatherings are my idea or I deserve all, or even equal, amounts of credit, strike them down, and strike them down hard. Joy deserves at least 95% of the credit, if not more (likely more).
Always remember that it’s Joy we need to thank and keep in our high regards.
We’re looking to hold this Family gathering in June of 2013. Right now, we’re trying to lockdown a date, which is where this poll comes in. Vote and show us what dates work best for you, and we’ll try very hard to get the best date for the most amount of people.
This time is different. We learned from our past, and we plan to focus much more on making the event interactive with lots more games, a few Family outings, and possibly guest speakers in the same vein as the people we had this year such as Ed Winter. We want to hear from you. What would you like to do or see at the gathering? Tell us your thoughts. We would love to hear them! We also want you to know that the pricing will be very different, and we’re trying very hard to make sure that it is affordable for everyone.
This is a Family gathering, a weekend to come and spend time with people you talk to everyday online, the people you’ve met, you’ve wanted to meet, and maybe even a few you didn’t even know you knew. If you didn’t get to come this year, this is a great chance to go next year, and, if you did come this year, you already know it’s going to be a blast next year!
