so yeah did you guys hear about the ceo of abercrombie and fitch who said that he doesn’t want ugly chicks wearing his clothing
like excuse you ceo of abercrombie and fitch
you look like gary busey went bobbing for apples in a tub of bees
you couldn’t wear your own clothing
Paint-stained jeans and flip-flops with a polo shirt is so very hip and cool.
Also, he’s an ugly mother
They tell me I remind them of the following characters:
Det. Olivia Benson (circa season 4-6)
Capt. Kathryn Janeway
Det. Jane Rizzoli Rizzoli
Now, think about this mixture of people for a moment. I mean, really think about it. Sure, they’re all strong, female leads with aggressive and/or assertive personalities who get what they want done accomplished. But…
Dorthy was a divorcee living with her mother and a couple of people she’d never met before moving into a house she was going to share with them
Julia ran an interior design firm that nearly went bankrupt and she had to sell shares in to a Texan named BJ who was obnoxious at best.
Murphy was a recovering alcoholic with anger issues.
Det. Benson’s longest relationship was with her work partner, who has now left her, and every time she hooks up with a guy that might have potential, something really shitty happens. I don’t even want to get into her issues regarding her conception or her desire but inability to have a child.
Captain Janeway stranded two ships’ worth of people thousands of light years from home because she had a stick so far up her ass she refused to break the Prime Directive, and she couldn’t think to set up a time delayed photon torpedo that would blow everything up after she got safely back to her space, and she spent 7 years regretting not breaking the Prime Directive only to break the Prime Directive when she finally did get her crew home. Hypocrite? Yeah…
Det. Rizzoli is in the closet and “falling in love” with a beard who is more concerned that his penis can’t rise for the occasion than actually creating a meaningful, emotional relationship with her.
Regina Mills… wow… just… Regina Mills.
The thing is that I like all of these characters, but, you know, being really compared to them makes me wonder how much my friends actually like me.
In November, just after the elections, I sent an email to @BarackObama / the White House. In it, I made some commentary about social media, people in my generation, and a few things in that field. I expected absolutely nothing in return.
I expected an intern to read it, go ‘meh’, and then file it away somewhere.
You can imagine my surprise when this arrived in the mail yesterday. Given the money crunch we’re in right now, I can’t decide if I’m please the White House is supporting the USPS or irritated they’re wasting money on envelopes, letterhead, stamps, and manpower to send me a canned message that has nothing to do with what I emailed in.
Color me conflicted.
